Thos. Winnard & Sons Ltd have been manufacturing commercial vehicle brake drums since 1930 and brake discs since 1953.
Established in the steel city of Sheffield Winnard are approved suppliers to some of the world's leading axle and vehicle manufacturers and have a proven track record and reputation for producing the highest quality safety critical components available.
Our core product range includes ECE R90 approved brake discs, ECE R90 brake pads, wear leads and accessories as well as an the largest range of commercial vehicle brake drums in the UK. Our product range covers light commercial vehicles (LCV), passenger service vehicles (PSV), trucks, trailers and industrial applications and are distributed throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland via a network of commercial vehicle factors and specialist buying groups.
Brake Discs
With over 350 references covering 98% of the commercial vehicle market, Winnard have one of the largest ranges of C.V. Brake Discs in Europe.
All our Brake Discs are manufactured to our specification by ISO TS16949 accredited factories with many references having ECE R90 approval. During the design process we also make enhancements over the Original Equipment part. These enhancements include improvements to the disc's thermal fatigue capabilities as well as reductions in corrosion of critical areas such as ABS teeth.
Our O.E.S. approved quality control systems and procedures ensure that our Brake Discs meet the exacting standards required by today's modern vehicles and will perform to similar levels as an Original Equipment part.

Brake Pads
Our evolving range of Intelligent Braking ECE R90 approved brake pads are designed to produce maximum performance at a cost effective price. Constructed using our triple retention system it ensures that the friction material can be relied upon, even in the harshest environments. The latest materials now include bedding in coatings to help ensure immediate braking performance.
Using state of the art production facilities, accredited to OEM approval procedures and quality systems, Intelligent Braking brake pads are engineered to exacting standards. Our Standard IB701 and Stage 2 IB705 materials have been bench marked against leading Original Equipment materials and have been proven to perform to similar levels.
